Swimming

At Carlton, children in year 5 attend weekly swimming sessions.   Improvements to the local swimming pool has ensured that this is a positive experience building confidence, stamina and a sense of teamwork. 

All children are able to swim at least 25 metres and an increasing number are competent to perform self rescue in different water based situations.

The local swimming pool, Minsthorpe, is located on Ash Grove.

To help prepare your child, why not pay a visit to build water confidence before your child reaches year 5.

Equipment required:-

Boys must wear swimming trunks (no knee length swimming shorts)

Girls must wear a full swimming suit (no bikini's)
